The
Cersosimo Lumber Co. has recently undergone an extensive exhaustive process to
achieve the Forest Stewardship Councils “Chain of Custody” designation for
lumber produced at our three sawmills.
Who
is the Forest Stewardship Council?
FSC is a
non-profit organization devoted to encouraging the responsible management of
the world’s forests. FSC sets the highest
standards to ensure forestry is practiced in an environmentally responsible,
socially beneficial and economically viable way.
What
is COC
Chain
of Custody Certification allows companies that manufacture and market forest
products to label them with the FSC brand consistent
with the FSC policies.
